Luxury Spa Brings Peace and Serenity to the Heart of Hollywood, CA

Rockville, MD—WTS International, one of the world's leading spa consulting and management firms, announces the opening of its newest affiliated property, Spa Luce in Hollywood, California. Located within the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Center, the elegant Spa Luce features personalized treatments, celebrity-inspired pampering and top-of-the-line beauty and health products.

Committed to the power of restoring the mind, body and spirit, Spa Luce provides the ideal setting for true relaxation and rejuvenation. Clients are invited to enjoy indulgent skincare and body treatments using elite product lines including Sonya Dakar Skincare, the Somme Institute, and Red Flower. Premier aromatherapist Dr. Sharon Z. Zadanoff (popularly known as Dr. Sharon) created the signature scent for Spa Luce which will be incorporated in an exclusive line of products debuting at the spa this fall. A favorite among Hollywood A-listers, Dr. Sharon’s selective clientele includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, REM’s Michael Stipe, the Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, and other stellar names.

Upon entering Spa Luce, guests are enveloped in natural light streaming through a magnificent pierced dome ceiling and welcomed at a reception desk crafted from a felled 300-year-old walnut tree. Incorporating modern composition and amenities with the tradition of artisan craftsmanship, the Spa Luce environment designed by Kerry Joyce is unique and immediately soothing. Intricately hand-laid mosaic tiles make up the floors and most walls. Featured walls are crafted from blocks of chiseled Jerusalem stone imported from Israel. Weathered teak cabinetry complements the hand-finished plaster walls and ceilings of each treatment room. Aqua blue, hand-made tiles accent the steam rooms and unique pedestals, and vanity sinks are carved from single blocks of stone. Soft, indirect lighting accents pathways leading to treatment rooms and past an awe-inspiring glass mosaic wall created by Los Angeles artist, Kim Gordon, to echo the natural pattern and rhythm of water.

Infused with the healing energy of light combined with the power of aromatherapy, the signature treatments (Japan Ritual and Hammam Ritual) have been carefully created to take guests on a journey of harmony, restoration and inner balance. The Japan Ritual is a five-part ritual massage treatment, layering the therapeutic properties of flower oils and fruit essences with rich minerals from the earth and sea. The client is purified with yuzu mimosa sea algae, deeply scrubbed with gingergrass, polished with nutrient rich rice bran, and hydrated with rose, camellia and plum. The treatment closes with a shiatsu massage using kinmoxei wild lime silk oil to energize and restore the whole body. The Hammam Ritual is a five-step massage ritual based on the skin care practices of the hammam bath houses. The client is cleansed with Moroccan mint tea and silt, vigorously scrubbed with coffee, olive stones and fresh lemons, and wrapped in rich rhassoul clay to draw deep impurities out of the body. A Turkish massage using the curative essences of cardamom, jasmine, bergamot, amber and clove follows.

Spa Luce features seven distinct treatment rooms to create an environment of light and warmth that enhances the regenerative healing properties of the facility. One of the rooms is a private sanctuary expressly for couples and includes a hydrotherapy tub. Manicure and pedicure stations are also featured.
